Overview #
Product Designer App provides two methods to upgrade to a new version.
You can update the plugin manually using an update package or directly from the list of available versions in the plugin dashboard.
Upgrade Methods #
Upgrade from Update Package (Manual) #
Use this method when you have downloaded the update package from the store.
Steps
- Go to the Admin Panel -> PDA
- Select the Upgrades menu
- Click Upload
- Choose the update package file (.zip) downloaded from the store
- Confirm to start the upgrade process
The system will automatically install the new version from the uploaded package.
Upgrade from Available Versions (Online) #
Use this method to upgrade directly from versions available in the system.
Steps
- Go to the Admin Panel -> PDA
- Select the Upgrades menu
- Select the version (1) you want to upgrade to
- Click Upgrade (2)
The plugin will automatically download and install the selected version.
Completed Upgrade #
Once the upgrade is finished, the plugin will run on the new version with all updated features and improvements applied.
Notes #
- Always backup your website and database before upgrading
- Do not refresh or close the browser during the upgrade process
- After upgrading, check plugin settings and functionality to ensure everything works correctly
