Installation #
This guide explains how to install and activate Product Designer App (PDA) on a WordPress website running WooCommerce.
The installation process only takes a few minutes. Once completed, you’ll be ready to create customizable products and start accepting personalized orders.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure your website meets the requirements described in the Requirements section and that WooCommerce is already installed and activated.
Step 1 — Download the Plugin #
Download the latest version of Product Designer App from your account or the official download link provided after purchase.
You should receive a ZIP file similar to:
product-designer-app.zip
Important
Do not extract the ZIP file before uploading it to WordPress.
Step 2 — Install the Plugin #
- Sign in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- Click Upload Plugin.
- Select the
product-designer-app.zipfile. - Click Install Now.
- Wait for the installation to complete.
WordPress will automatically copy the plugin files into the plugins directory.

Step 3 — Activate the Plugin #
After installation:
- Click Activate Plugin.
Or, if you installed it previously:
- Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Locate Product Designer App.
- Click Activate.
Once activated, a new Product Designer App menu will appear in the WordPress Admin sidebar.

If you installed from plugin store → click Activate

Step 4 — Verify the Installation #
Open the Product Designer App dashboard.
You should see the main administration pages, including:
- Dashboard
- Products
- Templates
- Assets
- Orders
- Settings
If these pages are available, the plugin has been installed successfully.

Step 5 — Activate Your License #
To receive updates and access premium features:
- Open Product Designer App →Dashboard.
- Click the Verify purchased code button.
- Enter your License Key.
- Click Activate License.
If activation is successful, your license status will be displayed as Verified.
Note
An internet connection is required during license activation.
Step 6 — Configure Basic Settings #
Before creating your first product, review the default settings.
Recommended sections include:
- General Settings
- Design Studio
- Export Settings
- Image Settings
- Pricing
The default configuration works well for most stores, but you can customize these settings later as your requirements grow.
Step 7 — Create Your First Product #
After installation, you’re ready to create your first customizable product.
The typical workflow is:
Create WooCommerce Product → Create Product Base Design and Assign to WooCommerce Product → Create Design Template / Assign Template to WooCommerce Product (If sell design template) → Publish Product → Customer Starts Designing

Updating the Plugin #
To update Product Designer App:
- Download the latest plugin version.
- Open Product Designer App →Upgrades.
- Upload the new ZIP file using Upload button or click update button (If it available).
- Wait plugin updating and completed.
Tip
Always create a backup of your website before updating plugins, themes, or WordPress core.
Troubleshooting Installation #
The plugin cannot be installed #
Possible causes include:
- The ZIP file was extracted before uploading.
- The uploaded file is incomplete or corrupted.
- The plugin is already installed.
Solution
- Upload the original ZIP package.
- Remove any incomplete installation before trying again.
- Download a fresh copy if necessary.
Installation stops or times out #
This usually indicates that your server limits are too low.
Check your PHP configuration:
memory_limitmax_execution_timeupload_max_filesizepost_max_size
Refer to the Requirements page for the recommended values.
White screen or fatal error after activation #
Possible reasons include:
- Unsupported PHP version
- Plugin conflict
- Theme conflict
- Corrupted installation
Solution
- Update PHP to a supported version.
- Temporarily disable other plugins.
- Switch to a default WordPress theme (such as Twenty Twenty-Five) to test.
- Check the WordPress debug log for error details.
License activation fails #
Common causes include:
- Incorrect license key
- Expired license
- No internet connection
- Firewall blocking the license server
Verify that your license key is correct and that your server can make outbound HTTPS requests.
