Teams & Numbers #

The Teams & Numbers tool is designed for personalized sports and team apparel. It allows customers to quickly add player names, jersey numbers, and team lettering to products such as T-shirts, jerseys, hoodies, uniforms, and other sports merchandise.

Store administrators can configure available fonts, colors, sizes, and text options to ensure every personalization matches the product’s printing requirements.

This guide explains how to configure and use the Teams & Numbers feature in the Design Studio.

What Can Customers Do? #

Using the Teams & Numbers tool, customers can:

• Add a player name

Typical workflow:

Open Design Studio

Enter Player Name

Enable the Teams & Numbers Tool #

The Teams & Numbers tool can be enabled or disabled for each Product Base.

Navigate to:

Product Base → Design Studio Settings → Tools

Enable Teams & Numbers to display the panel inside the Design Studio.

If disabled, customers will not be see the Teams & Numbers options.

Add Player Name #

Customers can enter a custom player name or other personalized text.

Typical examples include:

• Player Name
• Family Name
• Nickname
• Club Name
• School Name
• Company Team

The entered text is automatically added to the design and can be edited at any time.

Add Jersey Number #

Customers can enter one or more jersey numbers.

Common examples include:

• 7
• 10
• 23
• 99

Numbers are displayed using the configured sports font and can be resized or repositioned as needed.

Edit Team Members #

After creating a team, customers can edit the member list at any time before adding the product to the cart.

Customers can:

• Edit player names directly in the member list.
• Edit jersey numbers.
• Add additional team members.
• Remove existing members.
• Update team information without recreating the design.

Changes are applied immediately to the corresponding design elements in the Design Studio, making it easy to manage large team orders.

Team Text #

In addition to player names and numbers, administrators can configure editable team text.

Typical examples include:

• TEAM
• CHAMPIONS
• UNITED
• FOOTBALL CLUB
• BASKETBALL
• BASEBALL

Team text can be placed above or below the player name or number depending on the product design.

Fonts #

Store administrators can provide a collection of fonts specifically designed for sports apparel.

Customers can choose from the available fonts to match the style of their team or event.

Recommended font types include:

• Athletic fonts
• Varsity fonts
• Block fonts
• College fonts
• Jersey fonts

Only fonts configured by the administrator are available inside the Design Studio.

Colors #

Customers can customize the appearance of names and numbers using the available color options.

Depending on your configuration, they may:

• Select predefined colors
• Choose brand colors
• Match product colors
• Apply team colors

Color changes are reflected immediately in the live preview.

Text Size #

Names and team text can be resized using the available controls.

Customers may:

• Increase font size
• Reduce font size
• Resize directly on the canvas
• Fit text within the printable area

The Design Studio updates the preview instantly.

Number Size #

Jersey numbers can be resized independently from the player name.

Customers can:

• Increase number size
• Reduce number size
• Maintain proportional scaling
• Position the number freely within the Design Area

Large numbers are ideal for the back of jerseys, while smaller numbers may be used on the front or sleeves.

Position and Alignment #

Names and numbers can be positioned anywhere inside the printable Design Area.

Available controls include:

• Move
• Rotate
• Center Align
• Left Align
• Right Align
• Top
• Bottom

These controls make it easy to create balanced layouts.

Depending on your Product Base configuration, the following options may be available:

• Edit Player Name

Teams & Numbers and Pricing #

If your Printing Type uses pricing rules based on design elements, printed colors, or printable area, names and numbers are automatically included in the price calculation.

Pricing updates automatically as customers customize the design.

Member Quantity #

Before configuring team members, customers first choose how many personalized products they need.

The Teams & Numbers tool allows customers to:

• Select the number of team members.
• Add additional members later.
• Automatically generate the required number of personalization records.

This simplifies ordering uniforms for schools, clubs, sports teams, and company events.

Product Size & Quantity #

After completing the team information, customers can configure the product size and quantity for each individual team member.

For every member, customers can specify:

• Product Size
• Quantity
• Assigned Name
• Assigned Jersey Number

This allows different team members to purchase different sizes within the same order.

Product Designer App automatically calculates the total quantity before adding the customized products to the cart.

Adjust Design Based on Product Size #

When products support multiple sizes, Product Designer App can automatically adapt the personalization workflow for each selected size.

Customers can:

• Choose a different size for each team member.
• Keep the correct team name and jersey number associated with each size.
• Review all size assignments before checkout.

This helps reduce ordering mistakes and simplifies bulk orders for sports uniforms and team apparel.

Cart Information #

After clicking Add to Cart, Product Designer App automatically saves all team information with the WooCommerce cart item.

The Cart page displays the complete team details, including:

• Team members
• Player names
• Jersey numbers
• Selected product sizes
• Quantity for each member
• Estimated total quantity

Customers can review all personalization details before proceeding to checkout, helping prevent ordering errors. The same information is carried through Checkout and stored with the final WooCommerce order for production.

Troubleshooting #

Teams & Numbers panel is missing #

Verify that:

• The Teams & Numbers tool is enabled.
• The Product Base has been updated.
• The Design Studio has been refreshed.

Fonts are unavailable #

Check that:

• Fonts have been uploaded.
• Fonts are enabled.
• Browser cache has been cleared.

Colors cannot be changed #

Possible causes include:

• Color customization is disabled.
• The selected element is locked.
• Only predefined colors are allowed.

Text does not fit the design area #

Reduce the font size or reposition the text to ensure it remains inside the printable area.

For the best customer experience:

• Use sports-specific fonts for jersey products.
