Orders #
After a customer completes the design process and places an order, Product Designer App automatically saves all design information with the corresponding WooCommerce order. This allows store administrators to review the customer’s design, download print-ready files, and access the original design data for production.
This guide explains how to manage customized orders in WooCommerce and download customer design files.
How Orders Work #
When a customer customizes a product in the Design Studio and completes checkout, Product Designer App automatically attaches the design information to the WooCommerce order.
Each order stores its own design data independently, ensuring the design remains unchanged even if the original Product Base or templates are updated later.
Typical workflow:
Customer Customizes Product

↓
Checkout

↓
Download Print Files
View Orders #
To manage customized orders:
- Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to WooCommerce → Orders.
- Open the order you want to review.
Orders containing customized products automatically include the Product Designer App design information.

Order Details #
Inside the WooCommerce order page, Product Designer App displays the customer’s design information.
Depending on the product configuration, you can review:
- Customized product information
- Design preview
- Multiple product views (Front, Back, Left, Right, etc.)
- Selected colors
- Product attributes
- Customer quantity
- Customer notes
- Design configuration
This information allows you to verify the order before sending it to production.
Download Design Files #
Each customized order includes a Download Design button.
Click Download Design to open the Design Detail page.
From there, you can download the customer’s design in supported formats.
Supported formats include:
- PNG
- SVG
These files are generated directly from the customer’s original design and are ready for printing or additional production processing.

Print-Ready Files #
Downloaded print files are generated according to the Product Base configuration.
The exported files automatically respect:
- Design Area dimensions
- Print settings
- Product views
- Printing configuration
- Output format
If a product contains multiple printable sides, separate print files are generated for each configured view.
Multiple Product Views #
Products with multiple design views include all configured sides in the order.
Examples include:
- Front
- Back
- Left
- Right
- Inside
- Outside
Each view can be reviewed individually before downloading the print files.
This helps ensure every printable surface is included during production.
Original Design Data #
In addition to print-ready files, the order securely stores the customer’s original design information.
This allows Product Designer App to generate print files whenever needed without requiring the customer to redesign the product.
Order Management #
All order management continues to use the standard WooCommerce workflow.
You can:
- Change order status
- Process payments
- Manage shipping
- Add internal notes
- Issue refunds
- Complete orders
Product Designer App simply adds the customer’s design information to the existing WooCommerce order.
Delete Orders #
If a WooCommerce order is permanently deleted, the associated Product Designer App design data is also permanently removed.
If you need to keep customer designs for future reference, consider backing up your WooCommerce database before deleting completed orders.
Typical Production Workflow #
A common production workflow is:
Customer Places Order
↓
Open WooCommerce Order
↓
Review Design Preview
↓
Download Print File
↓
Send to Production
↓
Print Product
↓
Ship Order
This workflow ensures the production team always works with the customer’s approved design.
Best Practices #
For the best production workflow:
- Review every customized order before printing.
- Verify colors, quantities, and selected product options.
- Download the appropriate print format for your production process.
- Keep completed orders until production has finished successfully.
- Avoid deleting WooCommerce orders unless they are no longer needed.
- Place several test orders after changing Product Base or printing configurations to verify the exported files.
Managing orders through WooCommerce together with Product Designer App provides a simple and reliable workflow for reviewing customer designs, generating print-ready files, and preparing personalized products for production.
